Shiny happy sunny day in the sugar city

Oh what a lovely best of best days I have just had.

For a Saturday, it started off incredibly early at about 7 o’ clock when Mark’s telephone alarm clock started singing. Oh how happy Zara and I was, to see Mark jump out of bed and start dancing around the room, full of exciting and energy. We even joined in with the dance as he searched the wash basked and finally located his telephone inside one of his socks /: ) hehehe…

As Mark was now wide-awake our day could begin. My day started as normal. Morning garden exercise was followed by a tasty breakfast. I then made my self-comfortable in the couch for my morning snooze. At midday I awoke for playtime with Zara; after a quick nap in the garden’s sunny shine I was ready for lunch; after a tasty lunch I felt ready to enjoy a warm afternoon siesta in my dog basket before waking around 3 o’clock for my afternoon walk in the park.

Little did I know when I awoke that instead of the park, Anje and Mark were going to take me into Tienen for the first time in my little life. Wow, oh what joy. Tienen was where my squeaky toys, tasty Salmon food and pink Kong have come from. Oh what a magical and fantastic place this must be.

After putting on my silver collar and attaching my favourite black lead we set off. For 10 minutes we walked along pavements, across Zebra crossings and down cobbled streets until we ended up on a large square surrounded by people and many dogs of all shapes and sizes, boys and girls. Everybody was so happy to see me and gave me such wondrous complements on my healthy red & black coat, brown eyes and perfectly cute size. I was so happy I feel my tail must having been wagging at a hundred times a minute.

As we walked around the square I met a young longhaired Jack Russel, a Chihuahua and a Labrador. To each and everyone I gave a wet doggy nose kiss and said hello. As it was a special day was even allowed to visit the public library and look in so many colourful shop windows and displays.

I must admit after such fun and seeing so many things and places I became a little bit tired and sleep. I was extra happy when Anje picked me up and carried me home. This gave my little legs time to rest and allowed me to see the town from a very relaxed and soft place. I must admit it was not long before a fell asleep and dreamt of kind words, happy faces and meeting so many new friends.

Sweet dreams
